It’s never too early to learn how to recycle garbage properly.
Waste Management assisted students at Renaissance Charter School at University in Tamarac with their Recycle Challenge, challenging each other to recycle all their clean and dry plastic bottles, cans, and paper at home and in school.
The Recycle Challenge was the last two weeks of school and the students collected two eight-yard dumpsters worth of recyclables.
They learned plastic bags cannot be recycled curbside and placed the items loosely in the Waste Management dumpster.
