Crews with Broward County’s Public Works Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division will begin resurfacing asphalt-deficient roads in Tamarac on Monday, Sept. 15.
The work will take place in three phases, starting with Pine Island Road from Northwest 66th Drive to Trails End Road in Parkland.
Next, resurfacing will continue along Nob Hill Road from Northwest 66th Drive to Heron Bay Boulevard in Parkland, followed by Nob Hill Road from Northwest 81st Street to Southgate Boulevard in Tamarac.
Funded by gas tax revenues, the project is scheduled for completion by December 2025, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen conditions.
During construction, drivers can expect temporary single-lane closures on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Officials have confirmed that sidewalks and driveways will remain accessible throughout the project.
For more information, residents may contact the Highway and Bridge Maintenance Division at 954-357-6040 or Project Manager Giovanny Bello-Herrera at 954-299-5016 or gbelloherrera@broward.org.
