The Tamarac North Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Waste Management (WM), is hosting a Student Sustainability Breakfast Conference.
Held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at The View at Colony West, this free seminar aims to educate and engage high school and upper-middle school students on the importance of sustainability within the local community.
Attendees can look forward to interactive debates, presentations on sustainability topics, and educational material giveaways. Additionally, there will be opportunities to earn volunteer hours, making this an excellent chance for students to contribute positively to their community while enhancing their knowledge.
The event will feature presentations by representatives from WM, the Tamarac North Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, Mover of Mountains LLC, Hyvelle Ferguson Davis (Master Gardener), and Michael Prairie, the Florida Panthers’ Director of Sustainability.
Each student participant will receive a goody bag from WM and Raising Canes and have a chance to win raffle prizes.
Students aged 14-18 are encouraged to attend and can earn service hours for their participation. To register, visit the Chamber’s events page. For more information, contact Peter Mason at 954-722-1520 or via email at peter@tamaracnorthlauderdale.org.
