Teachers in Tamarac will be celebrated with food, music, and family-friendly fun during an upcoming appreciation event hosted by Commissioner Dr. Kicia Daniel.
Daniel’s “BBQ for Our Teachers” will take place on Saturday, May 23, at Tamarac Park. The free event is designed to honor educators for their dedication and service to the community.
According to the event listing, attendees can enjoy a barbecue, live music, games, and entertainment as part of the celebration, which recognizes the hard work teachers provide throughout the school year and gives them an opportunity to relax and connect with the community.
According to Daniel, sponsorships, initiatives, and donations are being used to fund the event. However, she is not using her own initiative funds.
The event is open to local educators and their families. Advance registration is available through Eventbrite.
