Mona Malbranche of Tamarac {City of Tamarac}
Mona Malbranche has spent most of her life serving others.
She was a nurse in her professional career in Boston. When she moved to Kings Point in Tamarac, she became an active leader in her community and the local Democratic Party.
Malbranche, age 75, loves to help people. For her years of service, she was inducted into the Dr. Nan S. Hutchinson Broward Senior Hall of Fame. Tamarac commissioner Krystal Patterson requested that she receive recognition for her induction before the June 11 meeting.
After being recognized, Malbranche told the audience that her most important accomplishment was serving others. “I believe it is important to look for ways to help and serve the community,” she said.
Mayor Michelle J. Gomez said the induction into the senior hall of fame is an important accomplishment and that Malbranche has made substantial contributions to the community.
