Fraud
A resident reported being defrauded of approximately $9,000 in Tamarac. The victim told deputies that the money was transferred through the cryptocurrency website Solidly to someone posing as a woman. The incident occurred on June 1 and was reported on Sept. 1.
Assault
A victim reported being threatened by an unknown person in Tamarac on Sept. 1. According to the report, the person threatened to “blow” the victim’s “brain out” before driving away.
Animal Abuse
Deputies responded to a report of animal abuse in Tamarac on Sept. 1. A witness reported seeing someone tie a dog to a railing and strike it with a broomstick.
Battery
A battery was reported at a residence in the 5384 block of Gate Lake Road on Sept. 1. Deputies documented the incident.
Road-Rage Battery
A motorist reported being punched while stopped in traffic near Rock Island Road and West Commercial Boulevard on Sept. 2. According to the report, an unknown man exited another vehicle, approached the victim’s open driver’s-side window and punched him in the face without provocation. The victim suffered visible swelling, and the suspect fled.
Coconut Theft
A woman reported that an unknown man entered her property in Tamarac and stole coconuts on Sept. 2.
Vehicle Burglary
A vehicle burglary was reported in Tamarac on Sept. 2. The estimated loss was $720.
Retail Theft
Walgreens, 6401 West Commercial Boulevard, reported approximately $383 in merchandise stolen on Sept. 2. Store management provided surveillance footage and indicated it wanted to pursue charges.
Suspicious Incident
A suspicious person was reported looking inside a vehicle in Tamarac shortly after midnight on Sept. 3.
Animal Bite
A Broward County Transit employee reported being bitten by a dog while picking up a customer in Tamarac on Sept. 3. The dog’s owner denied that a bite occurred. The matter was referred to Broward County Animal Care for follow-up.
Stolen License Plate
A license plate and registration decal valued at approximately $30 were reported stolen in Tamarac on Sept. 3.
Battery
A woman reported that another person chest-bumped her during an argument in Tamarac on Sept. 1, causing her to strike a wall and suffer a bruise to her hand and wrist. The incident was reported on Sept. 3.
Auto Theft
A vehicle was reported stolen after it was parked along a residential street in Tamarac on Sept. 3.
Domestic Battery
A person was arrested following a reported domestic battery at a Tamarac business on Sept. 3.
Attempted Vehicle Burglaries
Deputies responded to reports of people entering and attempting to enter vehicles in Tamarac on Sept. 4. The suspects fled on foot when law enforcement arrived. Deputies searched the area with assistance from a K-9 unit and aviation personnel but did not locate them. Clothing and other property believed to have been discarded by the suspects were recovered, and surveillance footage was collected.
Assault on Deputies
A man allegedly threw quarters at deputies while they were investigating a crash in Tamarac on Sept. 5. The coins did not strike the deputies, and the man was arrested.
Retail Theft
Marshalls, 4197 West Commercial Boulevard, reported approximately $165 in merchandise stolen on Sept. 5. The suspect had not been identified or located at the time of the report.
Criminal Mischief
A Tamarac resident reported that a relative may have broken an impact window with a brick or rock between 4:30 and 4:40 a.m. on Sept. 6.
Domestic Battery
Deputies responded to a reported domestic battery in Tamarac on Sept. 6. A suspect was arrested and taken to the Broward County Main Jail.
Threats
A person reported concerning videos posted on YouTube following an alleged threats or intimidation incident in Tamarac between Sept. 5 and Sept. 6.

Bryan Reginald Jean, 31, was arrested Sept. 1 at 3833 West Commercial Boulevard on a warrant for driving with a suspended license.
Erica Jan Fortis Marinelli, 47, was arrested Sept. 2 at 10115 NW 71st Court on a warrant for cocaine possession.
Harold Brando Sierra Chavez, 29, was arrested Sept. 2 at 5469 North State Road 7 on a warrant for petit theft.
Ronald James Fonda, 81, was arrested Sept. 3 at 5404 NW 49th Way on an unspecified felony warrant.
Jimmy Jerome Kenon, 34, was arrested Sept. 3 on a charge of domestic battery.
Christopher John Manuszewski, 43, was arrested Sept. 4 on a battery charge.
Fidell Junior Gordon, 36, was arrested Sept. 4 on a charge of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.
Jaheim Kanye Laforest, 22, was arrested Sept. 5 on a charge of simple assault on an officer, firefighter or emergency medical worker.
Edward Jay Birch, 74, was arrested Sept. 5 on a warrant related to leaving the scene of a crash involving a non-serious injury.
Tanya A. Emmons, 29, was arrested Sept. 5 on a grand theft auto warrant.
Raymond Fadiz, 50, was arrested Sept. 5 on a dating violence battery charge.
Widelene Ermat, 30, was arrested Sept. 6 at 3873 West Commercial Boulevard on a charge of possession of PVP.
Denton Hugh Small, 28, was arrested Sept. 6 on a domestic battery charge.
