This is a summary of Tamarac crime events through March 11, 2024, compiled through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents.
Theft
A victim of Theft From Building was reported on 03/08/2024. The total estimated loss was $600. The victim wanted to report that an unknown subject stole her package from the front door.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on 03/06/2024. The total estimated loss was $520. A 2022 gray Grand Cherokee was stolen.
A victim of Theft – All Other was reported on 03/07/2024. The total estimated loss was $310. While the victim was sleeping in the alley of the plaza, an unknown subject stole her small purse.
A victim of Theft Retail / Shoplifting was reported on 03/05/2024. The total estimated loss was $248.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on 03/05/2024. A silver Honda CRV was stolen.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on 03/05/2024. A gray Honda CRV was stolen from the apartment complex parking lot.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on 03/08/2024. The victim parked her 2019 Infinity in her parking lot and went inside for the night. When she returned the next morning, she found her vehicle missing.
Burglary
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 03/05/2024. The total estimated loss was $695.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 03/11/2024. The total estimated loss was $400. The victim on-viewed a burglary of his vehicle.
Fraud
A victim of Fraud-All Other was reported on 03/06/2024. The total estimated loss was $3,200. An unknown suspect unlawfully accessed the victim’s CashApp account and removed funds.
A victim of Fraud – All Other was reported on 03/06/2024. The total estimated loss was $3,000.
Criminal Mischief
A victim of Criminal Mischief was reported on 03/06/2024. A father and a son got into a verbal argument about destroyed furniture within the residence.
Animal Bite
A victim of Animal Bite was reported on 03/06/2024. The victim was bitten by a dog while rollerblading.
Suspicious Person
A Suspicious Person was reported on 03/06/2024. In the video, an unknown person was observed looking in the house’s front window. The caller yelled at the person, who ran away from the house until the caller lost sight of him. The individual was wearing a medical mask.
Battery
A battery victim was reported on 03/06/2024. The total estimated loss was $50. A robbery by sudden snatching was also reported.
A victim of Battery was reported on 03/06/2024. The landlord and tenant got into a verbal argument that turned physical regarding the internet of the residence.
Arrests
Brady, Antonio Edwards, 35, was arrested on a Robbery By Sudden Snatching W/O Firearm Or Weapon charge on 03/06/2024.
Sommer, Nathan Matthew, 39, was arrested on a Damage Property-Criminal Mischief-1000 Dollars Or More charge on 03/06/2024.
Stark, Brad Lyle, 35, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence on 03/11/2024.
Lebreton, Yuri Johnny Charles, 36, was arrested on a charge of Drive While License Suspended 1 Offense at 8200 NW 73 Avenue on 03/08/2024.
