This is a summary of Tamarac crime events through May 13, 2024, compiled through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents.
Burglary
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 05/12/2024. The total estimated loss was $7,740. An unknown subject(s) smashed the victim’s window and removed property.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 05/07/2024. The total estimated loss was $6,080. Unknown subject(s) gained access to the victim`s vehicle and removed several tools and vapes.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 05/07/2024. The total estimated loss was $600. An unknown subject(s) gained access to the victim’s vehicle and removed a purse containing the victim’s credit cards.
Battery
A victim of Battery was reported on 05/07/2024. The victim advised that she was punched in her face.
Criminal Mischief
A victim of Criminal Mischief was reported on 05/07/2024. An unknown black female threw a brick at the business’ Ring doorbell for unknown reasons.
Theft
Educational Federal Credit Union was the victim of Theft – All Other on W McNab Road was reported on 05/07/2024. An adult male reported his credit card was stolen, and $7,000 of merchandise was bought in different Walgreens stores.
A victim of Theft – All Other was reported on 05/13/2024. The total estimated loss was $2,701. A theft from a residence was reported.
A victim of Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts was reported on 05/12/2024. The total estimated loss was $850. The victim advised that 4 of her rims were stolen.
A victim of Theft – All Other was reported on 05/07/2024. The total estimated loss was $550. The victim claims he invited friends over, and as they left, they took his backpack with his gun inside.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on 05/07/2024. The total estimated loss was $250. An adult female reported her vehicle was stolen from a parking lot.
Sawgrass Infiniti was the victim of Auto Theft was reported on 05/07/2024. The reporting party advised that five vehicles were stolen from the dealership.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on 05/08/2024. The victim advised that his vehicle was stolen.
Fire
A victim of Fire was reported on 05/08/2024. A work truck caught fire on the roadway.
A victim of Fire 05/12/2024. An electrical fire in a residence resulted in family displacement.
Animal Bite
A victim of Animal Bite was reported on 05/09/2024. Two large pit bulls broke free from a leash and attacked a dog.
Fraud
A victim of Fraud – Wire on NW 57 Court was reported on 05/11/2024. The total estimated loss was $4,497.
Arrests
Munoz, Alvaro Jose, 37, was arrested on a charge of Weapon Offense -Improper Exhibit Firearm Or Dangerous Weapon at 6363 Landings Way on 05/07/2024.
Dorvilus, Andrew, 29, was arrested on a charge of Battery – Cause Bodily Harm – Dating Violence on 05/07/2024.
Bryan, Briana Capri, 31, was arrested on a charge of Warrant – Child Neglect at 5800 W Commercial Blvd on 05/10/2024.
Beharie, Nasir Adam, 19, was arrested on a charge of Warrant – Sexual Battery at 5599 N Pine Island Road/W Commercial Blvd on 05/10/2024.
Williams, Tashara Shedra, 36, was arrested on a charge of Drugs – Possess – Control Substance W/O Prescription at 4200 State Road 7 on 05/11/2024.
