Tamarac Crime Update: $50,000 in Cash, Rolex Stolen in Burglary

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime and arrests through September 20, 2021.

Aggravated Assault

University Dr.

A 35-year-old female was the victim of Aggravated Assault on N University Dr. Sept. 16.

Animal Bite

NW 84th Ter.

A 66-year-old female was bitten by an animal on Sept. 19. The victim advised BSO her neighbor’s dog bit her on the leg when she walked outside in her backyard. The victim sustained minor injuries and declined treatment from Tamarac Fire Rescue.

Burglary Residence

S. Colony Cir.

A 37-year-old female was the victim of Burglary Residence on Sept. 14. The victim reports $50,000, a Rolex watch valued at $10,000, and three Visa cards were stolen. Tot. Est. Loss: $60,000.

Information

NW 44th St.

A City of Tamarac employee was inspecting a roofing job when he alleges he was sprayed by one of the workers on site.

Trent Dr.

On Sept. 16, an elderly female wired nearly $20,000 to a male subject she befriended on ourtime.com.

Missing Person

A Missing Person was reported on Sept. 12. The 34-year-old male was last seen last Sunday around 5 p.m. No mental or health conditions were reported—no cell phone on his person.

Runaway

Rock Island Rd.

A runaway was reported on Sept. 19. Reporting person called about her 16-year-old daughter taking her vehicle and leaving the residence. 16-year-old was entered into FCIC / NCIC system as a missing person.

Robbery

San Carlos Cir.

A 30-year-old female was the victim of Robbery-Carjacking on Sept. 15. Tot. Est. Loss: $8,800.

Theft

NW 94th Ave.

A 29-year-old female was the victim of theft of personal property that occurred at a school on Sept. 14. Tot. Est. Loss: $20.

University Dr.

A victim of theft-retail shoplifting was reported on Sept. 8. Tot. Est. Loss: $565.

Pine Island Rd.

A victim of theft-retail shoplifting was reported on Sept. 15. An employee took $100.32 worth of groceries from the store.

Arrests

Alejandre, Gloria, 55, was arrested on charges of Larc-petit Theft 2nd Degree 1st Offense on N Pine Island Rd on 09/15/2021.

Miguel, Kerlick, 50, was arrested on charges of Larc-petit Theft 1st Degree 100 Less 750 Dols on N Pine Island Rd on 09/15/2021.

Harris, Jalil, 24, was arrested on charges of Robbery-carjacking With a Firearm Or Weapon on San Carlos Circle on 09/16/2021.

A 48-year-old male was arrested on charges of Battery-commit Domestic Battery By Strangulation on NW 96th Ter on 09/19/2021.

Santos Bonilla, Carlos Noel, 32, was arrested on charges of Battery-cause Bodily Harm – Domestic Violence on Lakeside Dr on 09/19/2021.

Brown, Jermeisha De`shay, 21, was arrested on charges of Warrant/Pick-up Order on W Commercial Blvd on 09/19/2021.
