Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime events through April 3.
Auto Theft
A victim of Auto Theft on NW 57 Avenue was reported on 03/28/2023. The victim called to report her vehicle had been stolen. The victim thinks it’s possible her spare key fob might have been in the car. Otherwise, she doesn’t know how the suspect could have entered or started the car. She cannot find the other fob in her home.
A victim of Auto Theft on NW 58 Way was reported on 03/28/2023. The victim advised her car was stolen from her driveway while she was sleeping.
A victim of Auto Theft on W McNab Road was reported on 03/29/2023. The victim advised her gray Honda CRV was stolen from the guest parking spot.
A victim of Auto Theft N University Drive was reported on 03/29/2023. The total estimated loss was $1,030. The vehicle was stolen from an auto repair shop after being dropped off by a tow company.
Theft – All Other
A victim of Theft on Water Oak Place was reported on 03/31/2023. The total estimated loss was $2,000. The reporting person filed a theft report regarding a stolen government laptop.
A victim of Theft – All Other was reported on Island Club Drive on 03/31/2023. The total estimated loss was $118. The victim advised that an unknown male stole her package at her front door.
Burglary Conveyance
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on NW 56 Court was reported on 03/28/2023. The total estimated loss was $1,420. The victim called to report that an unknown subject broke into his vehicle overnight. The subject stole the victim`s wallet and two personal checks.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on Banyan Lane was reported on 03/28/2023. The total estimated loss was $3,050.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 03/28/2023. The total estimated loss was $850. A vehicle burglary with a firearm and wedding band taken was reported.
Theft – Retail / Shoplifting
A victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting on W Commercial Blvd was reported on 03/28/2023. The total estimated loss was $157. An unknown male entered the business and stole $290.95 of beauty products.
Arrests
Rivas Salgado, Blake Joseph, 32, was arrested on a charge of Dui Alcohol Or Drugs 1st Offense on W Commercial Blvd/N State Road 7 on 03/28/2023.
Maldonado, Parker Grant, 30, was arrested on a Battery-Commit Domestic Battery By Strangulation charge on W Commercial Blvd on 03/29/2023.
Garcia, Pedro, 41, was arrested on a charge of Warrant-Aggravated Assault W/Deadly Weapon on W Commercial Blvd on 03/29/2023.
Alexis, Venia, 27, was arrested on a Battery – On Officer Firefighter Emt Etc charge on N State Road 7 on 03/30/2023.
Scott, Maurice Anthony, 33, was arrested on a Battery-Commit Domestic Battery By Strangulation charge at Southgate Blvd on 04/02/2023.
