Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime events through June 24, 2024.
Theft
A victim of Theft – All Other was reported on 06/21/2024. The total estimated loss was $1,100. The owner reported an unknown subject took his cell phone after it dropped on the ground.
A victim of Theft – All Other was reported on 06/21/2024. The total estimated loss was $200. A known subject stole the victim’s vehicle and wheelchair.
7-Eleven was the victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting at 7901 W Commercial Blvd was reported on 06/18/2024. The total estimated loss was $99. An unknown subject walked into the gas station and stole two cases of Modelo from the store.
A victim of Theft – Bicycle was reported on 06/18/2024. The total estimated loss was $40. The victim’s purple mountain bicycle was stolen outside of 7-Eleven.
Woodmont Hospital was the victim of Theft – All Other on N University Drive was reported on 06/21/2024. The complainant advised that a nurse stole one .25 Xanax and has camera footage.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on 06/21/2024. The victim parked his 2024 Acura MDX and then went inside for the night. He returned to the vehicle to find broken glass on the ground and the vehicle missing.
Battery
A victim of Battery was reported on 06/18/2024. The victim was involved in a verbal altercation with her boyfriend, and he slammed her to the ground.
A victim of Battery was reported on 06/19/2024. A physical altercation between a customer and the business owner occurred inside the business.
Property Damage
A victim of Property Damage to the Rear of his Vehicle was reported on 06/19/2024. The victim observed damage to the rear of his vehicle.
Wickshire Senior Living was the victim of Property Damage on N University Drive that was reported on 06/21/2024
Information
A victim of Information was reported on 06/19/2024. It was a possible prank call referencing someone being shot, and the shooter was still on the scene.
Fraud
A victim of Fraud—wire was reported on 06/21/2024. The total estimated loss was $1,675. The victim stated that money was wired from his personal bank account to his mother`s Cash App without his knowledge or permission.
Death
A victim of Death Investigation on NW 70 Avenue was reported on 06/21/2024. A resident at Harbor Chase choked on a meatball and was pronounced deceased.
Burglary
A victim of Burglary Residence was reported on 06/22/2024. The total estimated loss was $3,325.
Sheer Enterprises LLC was the victim of a Burglary Conveyance reported on 06/23/2024. The total estimated loss was $730. A white vehicle was burglarized, and tools were taken from it.
Arrests
Lue Young, Lester Anthony, 34, was arrested on a charge of Felony Battery – Dating Violence on 06/18/2024.
Morgan, Keith Junior, 60, was arrested on a charge of Aggravated Battery-Cause Bodily Harm Or Disability on 06/19/2024.
Thompson, Khiante L., 32, was arrested on a charge of Intimidation Written Threat Kill on 06/19/2024.
Robinson, Ty`ree Laughn, 26, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or
Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence on 06/19/2024.
Evans, Scott S., 32, was arrested on a charge of Intimidation-Written Threat To Kill Or Injure on 06/20/2024.
Aragon, April Victoria, 27, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence on 06/24/2024.
