Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime and arrests through August 9, 2021.
Animal Abuse/Neglect
NW 49th St.
On Aug. 3, the victim claimed her dog was returned to her with physical animal neglect/abuse.
Auto Theft
NW 74th Ter.
On Aug. 5, a daughter took her mother’s 2005 Honda Accord without her permission. The daughter was seen driving the vehicle in Orlando on 08/07/21 by a family friend.
Madison Ave.
On Aug. 4, a gray 2021 RAM 1500 Limited and a Black 2021 RAM 1500 Limited were reported missing after an inventory count. The victim was unable to locate since July 27. No camera footage. Both key fobs for both vehicles are in possession of the same person.
Battery
Lakeside Dr.
On Aug. 5, the victim advised her boyfriend struck her multiple times causing bruises.
Fraud
NW 85th Ave.
On Aug. 4, the victim hired a person to do remodeling work in her home. He has not returned to complete the work that was started. He has been paid $16,540. The victim found out he does not have a contractor’s license and did not pull any building permits.
State Rd. 7
On Aug. 7, multiple individuals were lured by an ad on a radio station to go to a psychic’s office and hand her their money so she could do a ritual to bless it and double it, only to be taken and not given back. Tot. Est. Loss: $51,966.
Rock Island Rd.
On Aug. 4, a person was the victim of fraud. Tot. Est. Loss: $440.
Pine Island Rd.
On Aug. 6, the victim reported unknown suspect(s) used her social security number to take out a Small Business Administration loan.
Theft
McNab Rd.
On Aug. 4, the victim reported a friend stole $2,200 from him.
Theft From Building
Commercial Blvd.
On Aug. 6, the victims reported that items missing from their warehouse are being sold on Offer Up.
Threats/Intimidation
NW 59th Pl.
On Aug. 3, the victim reported a payment dispute over yard work done by a neighbor. The neighbor left a threatening voicemail.
Arrests
Rodrigues, Luiz Alberto, 41, was arrested on charges of Dealing in Stolen Property on W Sample Rd in Deerfield Beach on 08/04/2021.
Chatto, Sean Cassius, 47, was arrested on charges of Warrant on N University Dr on 08/05/2021.
Rosales, Alfredo, 27, was arrested on charges of Petit Theft $100- $300 on N State Road 7 on 08/05/2021.
Quintana Cruz, Roberto Carlos, 22, was arrested on charges of Resist Officer-obstruct Wo Violence on N State Road 7 on 08/08/2021.
Quintana Lopez, Byron Omar, 27, was arrested on charges of Resist Officer-obstruct Wo Violence on N State Road 7 on 08/09/2021.
Lopez, Geovany Alejandro, 25, was arrested on charges of Trespassing-structure Or Conveyance on W Commercial Blvd on 08/09/2021.
