Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime events through August 28.
Threats / Intimidation
A victim of Threats / Intimidation on NW 78 Street was reported on 08/22/2023. The victim received several text messages from an unrecognizable phone number. The text messages had the victim’s personal information, such as first and last name, address, and family member names. Additional text messages contained graphic images of deceased individuals.
Fraud
A victim of Fraud – All Other on Granville Drive in Kings Point was reported on 08/22/2023. The total estimated loss was $13,120.
A victim of Fraud – Impersonation on NW 81 Street was reported on 08/22/2023. The total estimated loss was $3,500. The caller advised he was contacted by an unknown subject who told him to purchase gift cards and send pictures of the barcodes.
Burglary Conveyance
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on W McNab Road was reported on 08/23/2023. The total estimated loss was $1,850. While a lawn crew cut the grass, two suspects drove up in a black Dodge Ram and stole weed eaters, a pole saw, and hedge trimmers.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on Southgate Blvd was reported on 08/23/2023. The total estimated loss was $500. A backpack was taken from a vehicle.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on W Commercial Blvd was reported on 08/28/2023. The total estimated loss was $1,900. The victim stated his phones were taken from his vehicle while he was inside the business.
Theft – All Other
A victim of Theft – All Other on NW 55 Place was reported on 08/23/2023. The total estimated loss was $804.
A victim of Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts on Rock Island Road was reported on 08/23/2023. The total estimated loss was $200.
Theft
A victim of Theft – All Other on W McNab Road was reported on 08/25/2023. The total estimated loss was $5,000.
A victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting on W Commercial Blvd was reported on 08/24/2023. The total estimated loss was $258.92. The suspect walked into the retail store and then stole merchandise using an antitheft tool to remove the antishoplifting tags from the clothing.
A victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting on W Commercial Blvd was reported on 08/24/2023. The total estimated loss was $372.
A victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting on W Commercial Blvd was reported on 08/24/2023. The total estimated loss was $139.
A victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting on W Commercial Blvd was reported on 08/27/2023. The total estimated loss was $288. A subject entered the business, loaded a shopping cart with products, and left through the fire exit without paying.
A victim of Theft – All Other on King Palm Drive was reported on 08/24/2023. The victim wanted to report mail stolen from her mailbox by an unknown person.
A victim of Theft – Bicycle on W Commercial Blvd was reported on 08/24/2023. The total estimated loss was $700.
Arrests
Biggs, Patrick, Sean, 45, was arrested on a Domestic Violence Injunction Willful Violation charge at N University Drive on 08/22/2023.
Samnath, Mark, 37, was arrested on a charge of Violation Of Injunction Order/Stalking/Cyberstalking at NW 70 Street on 08/23/2023.
Samuels, Tajai Oyian, 25, was arrested for resisting Officer Obstruct W/O Violence at W Commercial Blvd on 08/23/2023.
Ramosrevas, Marcos, 31, was arrested on a Trespassing Property Not Structure Or Convey charge at NW 57 Street on 08/23/2023.
Lewis, Ladarius, Lanard, 21, was arrested on a Burglary Unoccupied Conveyance Unarmed charge at Tuscany Terrace on 08/24/2023.
Henriques, Stephanie, Danielle, 28, was arrested on a Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence charge at Hampton Hills Blvd on 08/24/2023.
Hinds Williams, Cadila, 26, was arrested on a Larceny – Grand Theft 10k Less Than 20k charge at Hiatus Road on 08/25/2023.
Biggs, Patrick, Sean, 45, was arrested on a charge of Aggravated Stalking Domestic Violence at NW 58 Place on 08/25/2023.
Moore, Karman, Bernadette, 60, was arrested on a Battery-On Person 65 Years Of Age Or Older charge at NW 64 Avenue on 08/26/2023.
Donner, Auberson, 25, was arrested on a Robbery-No Firearm Or Weapon charge at Treehouse Lane on 08/26/2023.
