Kids Reel in Fun With Tamarac Deputies at Free Fishing Event at Veterans Park

Major Improvements Coming to 2 Tamarac Parks

Families are invited to cast a line with local first responders during the “Catch Me If You Can” Fishing Event hosted by the Broward Sheriff’s Office Tamarac District.

The free event will be held on Saturday, July 25, from 8 to 11 a.m. at Veterans Park, 7825 Southgate Blvd.

Children will have the opportunity to spend the morning fishing alongside BSO deputies and firefighters while learning more about the community members who serve Tamarac.

The first 30 children to arrive will receive a free Bass Pro Shops hat.

Parents or guardians must remain on-site for the duration of the event, and participants are asked to bring their own fishing rods.
