The City of Tamarac is now accepting applications for its Residential Assistance Program, which is designed to help residents experiencing financial hardship with housing-related expenses.
The program, funded through State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) funds, provides limited assistance to income-eligible Tamarac residents who are struggling due to a short-term loss of income, unexpected financial burdens, or other temporary setbacks. Eligible applicants may receive help covering rent, mortgage payments, utility bills, or homeowners association fees.
Assistance is offered on a first-qualified, first-served basis until available funds are exhausted. Households must meet specific income guidelines and provide documentation of need. Priority is given to applicants who have not received assistance from the program within the past 12 months.
Applications must be completed and submitted online. Residents are encouraged to apply as soon as possible due to high demand and limited funding.
For more information about eligibility requirements or to apply, visit www.Tamarac.org or contact the Housing Division at (954) 597-3549.
