Tamarac residents struggling to afford pet food may be eligible for help through the city’s Pet Pantry.
The pantry provides pet food to qualified residents on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 1 to 6 p.m. Applicants must live in Tamarac, be experiencing financial hardship, and meet household income guidelines.
Residents can apply to the city’s Pet Pantry by calling 954-597-3626 for assistance. You can also use the same number to ask about donations. Pet Pantry supplies depend on funding and availability.
In 2023, Tamarac Pet Pantry received the Florida League of Mayors’ Municipal Innovation Award (MMIA) for its exceptional contributions to the Quality of Life Category.
