Tamarac Community Center {City of Tamarac}
The City of Tamarac will host a Back-to-School Special Needs and Community Resource Fair on Saturday, Aug. 9, offering families essential supplies, information, and support ahead of the new school year.
The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Tamarac Community Center, located at 8601 W. Commercial Blvd. Admission is free, and the first 200 attendees will receive free backpacks filled with school supplies.
Designed to support families of children with special needs, the fair will feature giveaways, local vendors, and a variety of community resources. Organizations offering educational, therapeutic, and social services will be on hand to provide information and assistance.
At 11:30 a.m., attendees can enjoy the “Rip the Hallways” back-to-school fashion show, a featured event that celebrates individuality and builds excitement for the school year.
This initiative aligns with Tamarac’s ongoing efforts to be an autism-friendly and inclusive city. The fair aims to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all families as they prepare for the upcoming academic year.
Registration is required. For more information or to register, visit Eventbrite or call the Tamarac Parks and Recreation Department at 954-597-3620.
