Three cats died in a home where a fire broke out in Tamarac Tuesday, authorities said. One feline survived the blaze.
Tamarac Fire Rescue, along with other local fire agencies, responded to the structure fire at Northwest 46th St. and 19th Terrace on Tuesday afternoon.
Crews were told that four felines were still inside the home. All four were found by rescuers and carried outside, according to city officials.
Emergency responders performed compressions on the felines and administered oxygen, but three out of the four died, authorities said.
No people were hurt in the blaze.
