Elmer Armstrong’s Tribute to The Platters
The classic sound of The Platters returns to Kings Point as Elmer Armstrong brings his Los Angeles–based tribute group to the Palace stage.
Elmer Armstrong’s Tribute to The Platters features the 1950s signature quartet vocals, doo-wop favorites, and Motown hits, along with a few light skits. Armstrong previously performed with The Paul Robi Platters, led by longtime Platters member Paul Robi. After Robi’s passing, Armstrong took the lead on a tribute revue that honors the group’s original arrangements and broad repertoire. The show also includes songs made popular by Motown artists, Nat King Cole, Johnny Mathis, Frank Sinatra, and Michael Jackson.
Held on Saturday, December 13, at 8 p.m., the show is $25 for Kings Point residents and $30 for guests, with tickets available online and at the venue’s box office before and on the night of the concert.
The new box office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, and 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays. On Saturdays, tickets can be purchased at the Clubhouse from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and at the Palace from 7 to 8:15 p.m.
As a reminder, shorts are not permitted in the theater. All attendees must be 18 years or older for all shows. Kings Point Palace is open to the public.
The Palace at Kings Point is located at 7622 NW 76th St. in Tamarac.
