There’s no better time than right now for students to secure Federal Student Aid funds for their education, and Broward County Public Schools has online assistance available to help.
Approximately $19 million in federal funds have yet to be claimed in Broward County. To determine eligibility, students have to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Students are automatically considered for up to $6,300 in Federal Student Aid if the student or anyone in his or her immediate family receives free or reduced lunch, Medicaid benefits, Supplemental Security Income, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, or Special Supplemental Nutritional Program for Women, Infants, and Children.
Errors made during the application process are the main reason why FAFSA submissions are rejected. To assist with the successful completion of the FAFSA,
BCPS is offering free online labs every week:
Weekdays beginning at 9 a.m.: Zoom meeting: zoom.us/j/688621111 Register at seahawkFAFSA.eventbrite.com
Saturdays: 3 – 5 p.m.: Zoom meeting: zoom.us/j/650326615 Register at B2LFAFSA.eventbrite.com
