A woman was found fatally shot in Tamarac Friday night, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities received a report of a shooting at a residence in The Mainlands in the 4500 block of Northwest 45th Court at 11:43 p.m. BSO deputies and Tamarac Fire Rescue responded to the home, where deputies found an adult female inside the residence suffering from a gunshot wound, according to BSO.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name was not immediately made public.
BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene units responded to investigate. The Broward Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of the woman’s death, authorities said.
