Criminal Mischief
A business vehicle at La Colonia Medical Center was vandalized between June 16 at 3:10 p.m. and June 17 at 5:05 a.m.
A rock was thrown into a business window on June 20 at 2:56 a.m.
Fraud
A Tamarac resident reported losing approximately $200,000 in a “Mega Millions” scam between January and May 2025.
A second victim lost $1,406 after being scammed by three companies via Facebook between April 1–5, 2025.
A complaint was filed regarding overpayment of $518 to Fairhaven 11 Association, with no refund issued.
Another fraud report involved payment for a vehicle made under false pretenses.
Theft and Robbery
A backpack at Publix was stolen on June 18 between 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., totaling $1,600 in losses.
A woman’s necklace and bracelet were snatched by a suspect she was in a dating relationship with on June 19 around 5 p.m. Estimated loss: $220.
Assault and Battery
A domestic battery occurred on June 19. A female suspect was identified through hotel surveillance and was also found to be in violation of probation for grand theft.
A father and son got into an altercation over a reversed car payment.
Threats and Intimidation
A Tamarac man reported receiving threatening calls and text messages on June 20 between 4:50 p.m. and 5:12 p.m.
Stalking
Two victims reported ongoing stalking incidents—one case involved cyberstalking dating back to August 2022; another involved threatening messages from an ex-spouse.
Death Investigations
A woman was found deceased in a bathtub by her husband on June 18. No signs of foul play were observed.
A separate natural death under hospice care was reported on June 21.
Other Notable Incidents
A juvenile was reported missing on June 20 and flagged as a habitual runaway.
An unknown male exposed himself to a woman seeking shelter from rain in a neighborhood park on June 21.
Several domestic disturbances were reported without physical violence.
Three individuals were placed under the Baker or Marchman Act for safety and medical reasons.
A vehicle involved in a Hollywood robbery was recovered in Tamarac on June 22.
Arrests
Terry Dean Johnson, 61, was arrested for trespassing on June 19.
Ciara Monet Smith, 29, was arrested for domestic battery and violation of probation.
Adam Joseph Giammatteo, 45, was arrested for aggravated stalking involving credible threats.
Noah Barnard Brown, 29, was arrested on a DUI warrant.
Tiquon Santiago Patterson, 39, was arrested in Fort Lauderdale for robbery without a weapon.
Natachia Leora Sweeting, 29, was arrested on a felony petit theft warrant.
