Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Broward County Animal Care is bringing back its popular Plenty of Pets adoption promotion, helping shelter animals find loving, lifelong homes across the county.
From Feb. 9 through Feb. 15, adoption fees will be waived for all available pets. A $25 pet registration fee will still apply.
Adopters during the promotional period will also receive a raffle entry to win one of three Valentine’s-themed gift baskets. In addition, pets adopted between Feb. 13 and Feb. 15 will go home with a special Valentine’s gift bag.
“Valentine’s Day is about love, and our shelter pets are ready to give unconditional love,” said Doug Brightwell, director of Broward County Animal Care. “Every adoption changes two lives — the animal who finds a home and the family who gains a loyal companion. Through Plenty of Pets, we’re removing barriers and creating lifesaving opportunities for animals who are ready to go home today.”
The promotion will culminate with a free adoption event on Saturday, Feb. 14, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Broward County Animal Care. The event will feature family-friendly games and activities along with dozens of adoptable pets ready to meet potential families.
Residents are encouraged to stop by, meet adoptable pets, and make this Valentine’s season meaningful by giving a shelter animal a second chance.
