Broward County Animal Care invites residents to find their perfect pet match during its “Plenty of Pets” adoption event, running from February 7 to 14 at its Fort Lauderdale shelter, 2400 SW 42nd Street.
The event will offer free adoptions for all available pets, helping to connect dogs and cats with loving homes.
With hundreds of animals in need, the adoption promotion ensures that every pet will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before going home.
To support new pet owners, Animal Care also provides a complimentary vaccine voucher for its Pet Care Clinic, saving adopters up to $175 on preventative care. Each adopted pet will also receive a special gift, such as a pet bed or toys.
Doug Brightwell, director of Broward County Animal Care, emphasized the importance of the event in helping shelter pets find permanent families.
“Every pet in our shelter has so much love to give,” Brightwell said. “This Valentine’s season, we hope to unite as many animals as possible with families ready to provide them with the care and companionship they deserve. By waiving adoption fees and providing added benefits, we’re making it easier than ever for residents to find their new best friend.”
The “Plenty of Pets” adoption event takes place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at the Broward County Animal Care shelter. Prospective adopters can browse available pets online at PetAdoptions.Broward.org.
