Authorities on Sunday publicly identified a woman found fatally shot in Tamarac Friday night and said she was murdered.
Janice Herbert, 53, of 4500 Northwest 45th Court in The Mainlands, was found in her residence suffering from a gunshot wound after someone reported a shooting there at 11:43 p.m., according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Herbert was pronounced dead at the scene.
BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene units responded to investigate. No arrests had been announced in the case as of Sunday night.
