Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) will open its School Choice Late Application Window for the 2026-27 school year on Wednesday, April 1 at 8 a.m., giving families another opportunity to apply for select programs with available seats.
During the late window, families may submit applications for school reassignments, Nova schools and magnet programs at participating schools.
District officials noted that families who already submitted a School Choice application during the earlier Open Enrollment Window do not need to reapply. Existing applications will remain active throughout the process unless families wish to add another School Choice option.
Applications must be completed through the BCPS Focus Parent Portal. Families can access step-by-step instructions for creating an account, linking students, and obtaining a student ID for those not currently enrolled in BCPS at browardschools.com.
For technical assistance with the Parent Portal, families can email focuscommunications@browardschools.com. Questions related to School Choice can be directed to 754-321-2480 or schoolchoice@browardschools.com.
Additional information about School Choice options, application windows, and timelines is available on the BCPS website.
