As the Thanksgiving week approaches, the city of North Lauderdale is set to kick off festivities with a unique event to foster community connections and support local businesses.

The North Lauderdale Business Breakfast Expo is a casual, free-to-attend gathering that invites local businesses and residents to the Grand Palace Ballroom at 8062 West McNab Road on November 22 from 8:00 am to 10:00 am.

The event emphasizes celebrating and supporting the vibrant small business community in North Lauderdale, especially in the lead-up to Shop Small Saturday, which takes place the day after the notoriously box-store-busy Black Friday.

Peter Mason, the Executive Director of the Tamarac North Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, tells Tamarac Talk that the idea behind the casual Thanksgiving coffee morning breakfast stems from the desire to create a platform for local businesses and residents to interact in a relaxed setting.

“Our tagline is ‘Bringing People and Business Together,’ and in the spirit of that, we want to remind everyone that North Lauderdale has some great businesses, and it is time to be thankful for small businesses in the City of North Lauderdale.”

The expo will feature an impressive lineup of resources and organizations supporting small businesses. Attendees can expect representatives from CareerSource Broward, Urban League of Broward County, Miami Bayside Foundation, City of North Lauderdale, North Lauderdale BSO and Fire Department, and the Chamber of Commerce.

These organizations will be on hand to provide valuable advice to small business owners and entrepreneurs.

The list of attending vendors includes Chen Senior Medical, Value Store It 11, DG Towing, Tucker Art, USPS, and Verizon.
