The City of Tamarac is hosting a Pirate Plunge & Safety Sail event to help enhance community safety and awareness of water.
The Pirate Plunge—free and open to the public takes place on Saturday, May 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Caporella Aquatic Center located at 9800 Northwest 58th Street—it has been designed by experts to provide essential swimming techniques and lifesaving skills through hands-on activities.
Activities attendees can expect to participate in have been structured to prevent drowning and encourage safe practices near bodies of water.
Participants can engage in swimming sessions emphasizing practical lifesaving missions and learn from water safety educational seminars led by experts.
