Tamarac, get your clubs ready.
Local golfers will take to the links Dec. 3 for the annual PuroClean Classic Golf Tournament, featuring over 140 participants in what organizers call one of the year’s premier networking events.
The tournament, put on by the Tamarac North Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, will be held at Woodmont Country Club, 7801 NW 80th Ave, Tamarac, with a 12 p.m. shotgun start.
Participants will play 18 holes with carts, dine on a lunch sponsored by Park Summit 5 Star Senior Living, and be able to compete in contests for closest to the pin, hole in one, longest drive, and most accurate drive, tournament organizers said.
Activities, raffles, and silent auctions will also be held throughout the day. Once golf is finished, a dinner and awards ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the club’s function room.
In connection with the tournament, chamber officials said they would contribute to the newly formed TNL Chamber Foundation, a nonprofit arm of the chamber, in support of local schools.
“The Annual PuroClean Classic Golf Tournament is a great opportunity to spend a fun-filled day with your colleagues while bolstering the Chamber’s efforts to support small businesses and our local economy,” said Tournament Chair Jose Martorell, General Manager at Star of David Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Funeral Chapel, in North Lauderdale.
Chamber Chairman Steven Parker, General Manager of Bailey Memorial Tamarac and North Lauderdale, called the event “the most popular golf tournament in Broward.”
“Friday afternoon golf playing for good causes is a winner for everyone,” Parker said.
Registration is available for individuals, foursomes, and sponsors. A hole can be sponsored for $125.
