Calling all furry friends – the North Lauderdale CHIP-A-PET event is back to keep the community pets happy, healthy, and home in the New Year.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with Broward County Animal Care, is again offering free microchipping and one-year-old rabies vaccinations for pets as part of its annual CHIP-A-PET program that aims to ensure that your furry friends stay healthy and can be easily identified and reunited with you if they are ever lost.
This year, the event takes place on Saturday, February 15, starting at 10:00 a.m. at the BSO North Lauderdale District Office in the City Hall Breezeway.
The CHIP-A-PET event is exclusively available to North Lauderdale residents and is limited to two pets per household, including cats and dogs.
Organizers note that no walk-ups will be accepted, and registration is required in advance due to limited availability.
To register your pet for the CHIP-A-BET event, email Deputy Jessie Alvarez at jessica_alvarez@sheriff.org.
