Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crimes through October 5.
Aggravated Assault
5700 block of NW 60th Ave – The Osprey
On September 30, BSO responded to a domestic violence battery incident where the victim alleged the defendant touched her against her will and threatened to harm her with a wrench. The victim sustained a bloody broken nail during the incident. The arrestee was transported to the Main Jail.
6001 W Commercial Blvd
On October 2, an unknown female had a road rage incident with two males then pointed a gun at them before fleeing.
Assault Domestic Violence
7600 block of NW 79th Ave
On September 29, a domestic altercation with parents over child custody issues. The Male became combative and belligerent and led to the use of force and an arrest.
Auto Theft
8300 block of Sands Point Blvd
On October 3, the victim alleged her son stole her vehicle from the residence. The victim/mother signed BSO Auto Theft Affidavit.
Battery
4400 block of Treehouse Ln – Arbor Keys Apartments
On September 29, the victim stated while arguing with her two children’s boyfriend and father. The subject punched her on the left side of the face causing minor injuries. The suspect left the scene before BSO’s arrival.
Burglary Business
6001 Hiatus Rd – Gemaire Distributors
On September 29, an unknown subject was observed by surveillance video driving up to the rear of the business in a white unknown make/model truck. An unknown subject jumped the fence to gain entry of the business property and stole 15 pallets valued at $30.00 each then exit through the backdoor.
Burglary Conveyance
11000 block of Sea Hibiscus Ln – Captiva
On October 2, an unidentified male entered into an unsecured vehicle, nothing taken. Video surveillance uploaded.
8100 block of N University Dr
On October 2, a PS4 Pro was taken from an unlocked vehicle.
7850 N University Dr – 21st Century Oncology
On October 3, an unknown person(s) broke the storage container’s lock, made entry, and stole several power tools. Entry was also made into the main building, where other items were stolen yet to be identified. No suspect information, no surveillance at this time.
Fraud
5700 block of NW 64th Ave
On September 29, a victim was scammed out of money over the phone by unknown suspect(s).
7901 W Commercial Blvd – 7 Eleven
On September 30, a credit card skimmer was located inside gas pump#1. The skimmer was taken for evidence. No witnesses or video footage at this time.
Information
7600 Nw 57th St – McDonald’s
On September 29, a customer found a hand sanitizer bottle cap in her son’s happy meal box.
Loitering
4800 block of NW 26th Ter – Mainlands of Tamarac South
On September 30, the arrestee, a white male, was riding a black and blue bike in the neighborhood while pulling and checking on the handle of car doors. The subject was transported to the main jail for booking.
Retail Theft
8700 block of W McNab Rd – Walgreens
On October 3, one unidentified female shoplifted at Walgreens by removing multiple over-the-counter medicines, a total of $1,315.58. The subject left the scene in a silver vehicle (unknown make, model, or tag).
3915 W Commercial Blvd – CVS
On October 3, Suspect 1- a male wearing a white T-shirt, blue shorts, blue shoes, and a red mask. Suspect 2- male wearing a tan baseball hat, black T-shirt, gray sweat pants with brown stripes, brown shoes, and a blue and white mask. BSO contacted the reporting party, who advised two unidentified males to enter the store at approximately 11:18 p.m. She further advised that Suspect 1 stole multiple tide pods in a box and walked out of the store. Both suspects left the property in a black SUV. BSO was unable to determine the make or model of the suspect’s vehicle due to camera quality.
4999 N State Road 7 – 7 Eleven
October 2, an unidentified male wearing a brown plaid long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and brown shoes. BSO met with the victim, who advised an unknown male entered the store and stole three packs of Heineken and leaving the store, passing all points of sale. He further advised the suspect left in a possible white Nissan southbound on N SR 7. He advised he was not sure of the model of the vehicle.
2401 W Commercial Blvd – Speedway
On October 2, two unidentified black male subjects worked in tandem to force open the air pump at the business, causing damage and proceeded to remove approximately $50 in coins from the machine.

An unnamed (B M, 44) was arrested on charges of Touch Or Strike/battery/domestic Viol at 4401 Treehouse Ln, Tamarac, on 09/29/2020.
Brown, Raphael Alexander (B M, 23) was arrested on charges of Assault Domestic Violence at 7644 NW 79th Av, Tamarac, on 09/29/2020.
Brown, Marvin Christopher (B M, 36) was arrested on charges of Agg Assault W/Deadly Weapon- Domestic Viol at 5760 NW 60th Av, Tamarac, on 09/30/2020
Baney, Robert Shawn (W M, 48) was arrested on charges of Loitering Or Prowling at 4805 NW 26th Ter, Tamarac, on 09/30/2020.
Guzman, Manuel Martinez (W M, 40) was arrested on Dui Alcohol, Or Drugs Offense charges at 7800 NW 70th Av, Tamarac, on 10/01/2020. 1st
An unnamed (B M, 46) was arrested on charges of Touch Or Strike/battery/dating Viol at 8830 NW 80th Dr, Tamarac, on 10/04/2020.
