Where to Go During Early Voting in Broward County

vote voting

By: Saraana Jamraj

While the Florida presidential preference primary election day isn’t until March 17, voters in Broward County have the opportunity to vote early at any of the county’s early voting locations as early as March 7.

During early voting, registered voters in Broward can go to any of the early voting locations in the county and cast their ballot.  On election day, voters must go to their assigned precincts.

The ballot is short—voters are only voting on the candidate they choose for their party’s presidential nominee, and instructions come in English, Spanish, and Creole.

Florida is a closed primary state, so only registered Democrats can vote for the Democratic nominee, and only registered Republicans can vote for the Republican nominee.

To vote, a current and valid picture identification with a signature must be provided. However, if an ID is forgotten or misplaced, voters are still legally entitled to a provisional ballot.

If no signature is present on the ID, poll workers will ask for additional identification.

Registered voters can vote early from March 7 to March 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the following sites:
