Tamarac’s pet lovers are in for a treat as the Furever Friends Pet Expo returns on Saturday, February 22, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Tamarac Park.
This free, family-friendly event will feature pet demonstrations, vendors, and adoption opportunities for those looking to welcome a new furry, feathered, or even scaled companion.
The American Red Cross will offer pet CPR demonstrations, while Tamarac Fire Rescue will conduct hands-on CPR training for attendees. Pet training experts will also be on-site, providing helpful demonstrations for pet owners.
Local vendors will showcase pet food, healthcare products, and services. A Red Carpet Pet Parade will highlight some of the most stylish and adorable animals, and attendees will have the chance to meet adoptable dogs, cats, and birds, with some paperwork required for adoption.
Entertainment for the whole family will include music, face painting, and special appearances by Oopsie the Clown and Sparky.
As part of the event, donations of unexpired pet food, cat litter, pet clothing, and toys will be collected to support local pet charities and shelters.
All pets are welcome, but dogs must be on a leash. Parking will be available in the plazas north and south of the park.
For those interested in becoming a vendor, sponsor, or adopting a pet, email MayorGomezEvents@Tamarac.org with “Pet Expo” in the subject line or call (954) 594-3460 for more details.
Tamarac Park is located at 7501 N. University Drive.
