Kerry’s Jamaican Restaurant celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting and party on March 19.
The Tamarac North Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce hosted the event, bringing together members of the Tamarac Commission, community leaders, restaurant staff, and family members to celebrate.
Chamber Executive Director Peter Mason said he was glad that Kerry’s had opened in Tamarac. “We’re thrilled to support this new local business,” he said.
Mayor Michelle J. Gomez led the ribbon-cutting and praised the new restaurant. “I want this new business to be successful,” she said.
Before the ribbon-cutting, guests were treated to food samples, including Jamaican favorites such as jerk chicken, fried chicken, jerk pork, oxtail, and more.

Kerry’s Jamaican Restaurant is located at 8425 West Commercial Boulevard. Business hours are Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
