Kip Sweeny and his tribute band bring the music of Garth Brooks to Kings Point Palace with a show that blends storytelling and classic country hits.
Audiences can sing along to favorites like Calling Baton Rouge, Ain’t Going Down Till the Sun Comes Up, and Rodeo, or slow down with ballads such as The Dance and Shameless. Of course, the night wouldn’t be complete without crowd-pleasers like Friends in Low Places and Two Pina Coladas. Backed by a rhythm section rich in vocal harmonies and rounded out by Bo Frazer on fiddle, pedal steel guitar, and mandolin, Sweeny’s band delivers the full country sound.
The group has toured extensively, including USO performances for the U.S. Air Force in Abu Dhabi and Qatar.
Held on Saturday, October 4, at 8 p.m., the show is $20 for Kings Point residents and $25 for guests, with tickets available online and at the venue’s box office before and on the night of the concert.
The new box office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, and 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays. On Saturdays, tickets can be purchased at the Clubhouse from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and at the Palace from 7 to 8:15 p.m.
As a reminder, shorts are not permitted in the theater. All attendees must be 18 years or older for all shows. Kings Point Palace is open to the public.
The Palace at Kings Point is located at 7622 NW 76th St. in Tamarac.
