The holiday season is upon us again. Although we may not be expecting a ‘white Christmas’ in Florida, we still know how to celebrate the festive season in style. And what could be more festive than enjoying cocktails, good food, and live music with your loved ones in a mascaraed themed event?
Join us and bring your mask for the 2015 Tamarac Chamber of Commerce Holiday Awards Gala on Saturday, December 5th at the Woodlands Country Club, where this year’s gala promises to entertain and delight.
Nowadays, many of us feel a sense of dread when it comes to the holiday season: the stresses of gift shopping, negotiating family dynamics, and feeling like we have to host the best dinners or parties with a smile.
But the festive season is actually that time of year when we should unite with family and friends, and look back at the year that has passed. Events like our holiday gala are an opportunity to bring our community together, and recognize what we’ve achieved in 2015.
We will be celebrating local community business leaders with two awards: the Ron Hawthorn Hometown Business Award, and the Herb Hayes Memorial Valued Member Award. These awards honor local business owners and Tamarac Chamber of Commerce members who contribute to our city through enterprise, recognizing their valuable partnership and support throughout the year.
The Tamarac Chamber of Commerce Holiday Gala is not just a prize-giving ceremony. The night begins with cocktails, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. including the sponsored complimentary signature drink, live holiday music on the house piano. Then we sit down to a delicious three course platted dinner from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Each table will also receive a bottle of wine, courtesy of Roger C. Simmons Law Offices.
Enjoy the musical talents of the The Wolfepak Band – South Florida’s own rock ‘n roll tribute group. Led by David Wolfe, the ensemble is made up of seasoned professionals who have been performing together since 2013. This harmonious powerhouse delivers the best in musical entertainment, performing songs by Steely Dan, Hall & Oates, Amy Winehouse, Stevie Wonder, Robert Palmer, The Beatles, Michael McDonald and The Doobie Brothers, and more. From their soulful singers to funky bass and electrifying guitar, The Wolfepak 10-piece band will have your toes tapping – and maybe we’ll even see you on the dance floor after dinner!
