A North Lauderdale man was accosted by three men while entering his apartment and was shot several times.
On October 25, at approximately 2:51 a.m. a Ring Doorbell captured Merlin Pierre, 34, entering his apartment at 1170 S State Road 7. He turns around to see a man with a handgun pointing it directly at him.
According to the police report, there were three suspects who wore ski masks. They followed Pierre home and shot him after stealing his personal property.
“Don’t shoot me,” Pierre screams while running to the parking lot.
One of the accomplices went back to his door, and after finding it locked heads back to the parking lot and fires 12 audible shots.
Four of those bullets struck Pierre.
Pierre, who did not answer his phone when contacted, has a voicemail message set up for those inquiring about his safety.
“I just got shot the other night, I got shot four times. I’m in stable condition but I have to take at least one to two weeks off. I’m alive. I’m well. I just need to get better.”
This is an active investigation according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
