
{Lauderhill Fire Rescue}
A man drowned in Lauderhill on Saturday, police said.
Lauderhill Police responded around 5:19 p.m. to the 5600 block of Enclave Place, where family members of the man told officers he had been underwater for a period of time before they arrived. Police did not say how long he had been submerged.Â
Officers entered the water to search for the man, but their initial search was unsuccessful, according to police.
Lauderhill Fire Rescue and the Sunrise Police Department Dive Team responded to the scene and continued the search. The man was later found and removed from the water, police said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene despite lifesaving efforts, police said.
Police did not release his name, age, or any additional information.
Detectives are investigating the man’s death.
