Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime through March 29, 2021.
Auto Theft
5900 block of Abbey Rd – Hampton Hills
On March 23, the victim woke up to her 2015 white Mercedes Benz C-300 stolen out of her driveway. She stated the key fob was left inside the vehicle. Community clubhouse video surveillance confirmed that the vehicle exited the community gate at 3:47 a.m. Her Sun Pass was used to get onto the Sawgrass Expressway and exit onto University Dr.
6051 NW 61st Ave – Bermuda Club
On March 21, a caller advised her 2018 Honda Accord was stolen the night before. Total Est. Loss: $200.
Domestic Battery by Strangulation
5400 block of NW 25th Ave – Tamarac Lakes North
On March 26, the offender was arrested for domestic battery and transported to BSO Main Jail.
Burglary Conveyance
5900 block of Abbey Rd Hampton Hills
On March 24, unknown suspects made entry into the victim’s vehicle overnight. No forced entry was made. Nothing was stolen.
Burglary Residence
4900 block of NW 58th St – Mainlands 7
On March 23, the victim had his residence broken into. A Playstation 3, black travel bag, and mail were stolen. TVs, etc., were damaged by being hit, or water was thrown on them. Tot. Est. Loss: $220.
Domestic Disturbance
8311 Sands Point Blvd – Sands Point
On March 24, BSO responded to a verbal domestic altercation involving the two parties.
8301 W Commercial Blvd – Comfort Suites Sawgrass
On March 25, there was an altercation between the two parties. No evidence of any physical altercation.
Fire
7000 block of NW 78th Ter – Academy Hills
On March 26, the reporting person was cooking food, and the stove caught on fire and burned the kitchen wall. No parties were injured. Tamarac Fire Rescue was on the scene.
Information
7800 NW 75th Ave – Heathgate
On March 23, the caller advised unknown person listed her landlord’s home for rent on Craig’s List, and now people are showing up at home unannounced. The landlord advised he did not place anything on Craig’s List.
NW 64th Ave
On March 24, an unknown male followed a female home from work then told her he was an undercover agent. The male told the female he stopped her because she had fluid leaking from her car, but she didn’t. The male then changed his story, saying he lived in the apartment complex but then changed and said he was having chest pains. He left after the female’s boyfriend came outside.
2505 NW 51st St – Tamarac Lakes North
On March 20, a caller reported a suspicious white male subject walking around the neighborhood, appearing to look into the homes’ windows on two separate occasions.
8390 Sands Point Blvd – Sands Point
On March 24, during a road rage incident, BSO contacted a male in a white Toyota Camry 0. Upon running the tag in FCIC/NCIC, it came back as stolen from Miami.
3816 NW 49th St – TowMaxx
On March 26, a Davie resident said his 2015 Toyota Camry was towed from an apartment complex by TowMaxx of Tamarac. When he picked up his vehicle, the vehicle was damaged along with $200 and marijuana missing from the center console.
4999 N State Road 7 – 7-Eleven
On March 26, store staff reported that a 2010 Nissan drove off with the gas nozzle still attached to the vehicle, damaging the pump. The vehicle was gone before BSO arriving.
5191 N State Road 7 – Bus Stop
Between February 26 and March 27, the victim wanted to report an incident of an unknown male “slapping” her backside with his hand on the bus.
6003 Umbrella Tree Ln – Woodlands Country Club
On March 27, BSO was dispatched to the address about a vehicle blocking the roadway. However, approximately 200 plus vehicles were blocking the entire roadway to Umbrella Tree Lane, and approximately 300 plus people were walking around.
Recovered Auto
5700 block of NW 56th Pl – Woodlands Greens
On March 23, a stolen green 2003 Chevrolet S-10 was returned to the owner by the person who stole it; a Plantation Police Department case.
Suspicious Incident
7903 Tuscany Ct – Tuscany
On March 25, multiple vehicles in the complex were discovered with blood on them and in multiple locations on the sidewalk throughout the complex. The subject was seen on the resident’s Ring camera stumbling around between 4:50 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. with blood on his right arm and leg. An attempt to locate the subject was conducted, which yielded negative results.
NW 92nd Ter – Westwood 5
On March 24, a missing juvenile made allegations that she was taken from her rear patio by two unknown male subjects; she later changed her story and advised that she was smoking marijuana and passed out in the bush.
Theft
5001 N Sr 7 – Shell Gas
On March 26, the defendant walked into the Shell Gas Station, grabbed three 12-pack cases of Modelo, and passed all sale points. They fled northbound, where an on-duty deputy witnessed the store clerk chasing the subject. The defendant was placed into custody and transported to Broward County Main Jail. Tot. Est. Loss: $57.

Garcia, Ramon (W M, 60) was arrested on charges of Agg Assault W/Deadly Weapon-Domestic Viol at 7838 Beechfern Cir, Tamarac, on 03/23/2021.
Poltine, Rocheny James (B M, 24) was arrested on charges of Deliver Cannabis W/in 1,000 ft School/Child Care/Park at 7600 Nw 96th Av, Tamarac, on 03/24/2021.
Wilder, Antonio Anton (B M, 41) was arrested on Larc-petit Theft 2nd Degree 3rd Subsq Offense charges at 7050 N University Dr, Tamarac, on 03/25/2021.
Clarke, Deandra Macharma (B F, 34) was arrested on charges of Touch Or Strike/battery/domestic Viol at 39 Ann Lee Ln, Tamarac, on 03/25/2021.
Aparicio, Rene V. (W M, 54) was arrested on Larc-Petit Theft 2nd Degree 1st Offense charges at 5001 N Sr 7, Tamarac, on 03/26/2021.
Swatkowski, Paul Eric (W M, 60) was arrested on Touch Or Strike/battery/domestic Viol charges at 8133 Pine Cir, Tamarac, on 03/26/2021.
Bolar, Aquila John (B M, 26) was arrested on charges of Battery-Commit Domestic Battery By Strangulation at 5402 Nw 25th Av, Tamarac, on 03/26/2021.
Knauff, Elliott Conrad (W M, 53) was arrested on charges of Dealing In Stolen Property > No Bond at 9091 Lime Bay Blvd, Tamarac, on 03/27/2021.
