A man fatally shot himself inside a Tamarac home during an hours-long standoff with deputies, authorities said Friday.
Chadwyck Reid, 34, had barricaded himself while armed inside a residence in the 5000 block of Northwest 50th Street in Tamarac late Thursday night, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
BSO’s SWAT Team and crisis negotiators responded to the home, where Reid stayed inside for hours. Sometime before 7:15 a.m. Friday, deputies found Reid dead inside the house from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to BSO.
Authorities said no one else was found inside the house at the time.
Additional details about the incident were not immediately made public Friday.
