Residents will have the opportunity to meet Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies over coffee this month during a community outreach event in Tamarac.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office will host Coffee With a Cop on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Cali Coffee, 7775 W. McNab Road.

The free event encourages residents to stop by, enjoy a cup of coffee and have informal conversations with their hometown deputies. Community members can ask questions, discuss neighborhood concerns and learn more about the role deputies play in keeping the community safe.

Unlike traditional public meetings, Coffee With a Cop is designed to foster open dialogue in a relaxed setting, helping strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the people they serve.
