Chabad Jewish Center of Tamarac invites the community to celebrate five years since its founding.

Held on Sunday, September 10, at 11 a.m. at the Woodmont Country Club, the celebration is open to the community and includes a catered lunch and a program from Chabad.

Reservations are $54 for a single guest, $108 for a couple, and $540 for a table of ten. Different levels of sponsorship are also available.

Rabbi Kopel Silberberg said the Chabad Jewish Center started small five years ago but grew exponentially, thanks to the community’s unwavering support.

“The Tamarac residents truly welcomed us, and over the years, we had many wonderful interactions with the community and members of the local government at our holiday celebrations, events, and adult education programs,” he said.

Rabbi Silberberg added that Chabad will honor three community members at the celebration. Gerry and Micky Salomon will receive a Keter Shem-Tov Award, which means “the crown of a good name,” and Renee Widman Rosenstock is nominated for the Living Legacy Award.

“This celebration is not so much about the past as it is about the future. We hope to continue to grow with our community,” he said, adding that everyone is welcome to join the event.

Woodmont Country Club is located at 7801 NW 80th Ave.
