The Renaissance Charter at University track and field team closed out their season in the postseason behind an incredible performance from Randy Witchard.
He won the shot put at the Regional Championship and then came in third in the discus before competing in the County Championship. Witchard then won the shot put and finished 13th in the discus. The rest of the team finsihed fifth in the Regionals, with Michael Campbell and Jayden Blair placing sixth in their events. In the relay race, Joshua Williams, Michael Campbell, Rishanni Donaldson, and Jayden Blair came in fifth in the 4 x 100 relay. Williams, Aadyn Waugh, Donaldson, and Michael Campbell finsihed seventh in the 4 x 200 relay, while Kemmal Bruce, Nathan Harry, Khalife Washington, and Jayden Diaz came in 10th in the 4 x 400. Blair placed in the top ten in the 100 and 200 meters. Harry finished 11th in the 1600 meters, followed by Taylor Jean Paptise. Michael Campbell, Amaurie Roberson, and Joshua Williams.
The girls team recorded points in the 4 x 100 and 4 x 800 relay. Janael Legar, Morgan Miller, Kaetlyn Cooper, and Emma Pierre placed eighth in one relay, while Sarah Dasilva, Kaymisha Alphonse, Aubrianna Bernanbe, and Alana Talquenca coming in the same spot in the other, with London Darby, Asia Darby, Janael Legar and Emma Pierre finishing 11th in the 4 x 200 relay. Legar and Breanna Evans finished in the top ten with Gabriella Mitchell, Pierre, Dasilva, Taylor Gilchrist, Katelyn Brisette, Morgan Miller, Chloe Keen, Madison Cardenes, Alana Talquenca and Jada Williams competing.
