Classic New York-style breakfast spot Rob’s Bageland has opened a second location in Tamarac.
Not just known for the delicious bagels, customers love their overstuffed sandwiches, eggs benedict, waffles, soups, fish platters, and more.
The new location at 5705 N University Dr in Midway Plaza had a quiet opening on July 15. They join the 12-year-old Tamarac Town Center location, two in Coral Springs, and one in Plantation.
Planned since January, Manager Samantha Lesser said that since opening, business has mostly come from takeout orders. The restaurant is currently open for both takeout and counter service from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Currently, dine-in is limited to 50 percent capacity, and typical waitstaff service has been omitted because of the virus.
She said that customers have been considerate about adhering to social distancing regulations.
“It hasn’t been so crowded in here yet that we’ve had a big group of people,” Lesser said. “We have markers on the floor for ‘six feet’ and social distancing protocols.”
Lesser said that because of the virus, they are putting the grand opening on hold.
“We will be having a grand opening, and eventually, we’ll be running weekday specials and different kinds of fun promos,” Lesser said.
