A man who fired four bullets through a glass window at Broward Health Coral Springs in July was arrested again last week for firing shots into a Tamarac hospital lobby and car dealership, among other targets, court records show.

An extensive investigation into Sami A. Qureshi, 46, of Sunrise, uncovered evidence he fired a bullet across four lanes of University Drive and into the main lobby entrance of HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital, 7201 N University Dr., on June 21, as well as into a hospital employee’s parked Toyota Sienna, according to an arrest affidavit.

Qureshi also fired through a showroom window at the Arrigo Sawgrass auto dealership at 5901 Madison Ave. in Tamarac on June 27, records show.

Investigators said Qureshi likely faces additional charges for firing into wooded areas in Sunrise and Fort Lauderdale, shooting toward a parked black Jeep near Coral Hills Drive and Northwest 29th Street in Coral Springs, firing into a wall of a Walgreens at 8801 W. Commercial Blvd. in Tamarac, and firing into a concrete highway wall on the Sawgrass Expressway just north of Commercial Boulevard, the affidavit states.

Qureshi told authorities he previously owned 30 guns, which have since been seized by law enforcement, records show.

He fired from inside his silver Nissan Sentra during most if not all the shootings, records show.

He was first arrested by Coral Springs Police in July for firing into Broward Health Coral Springs, 3000 Coral Hills Dr., on July 2, authorities said.

Sunrise Police arrested Qureshi in a different case on July 5, charging him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and petit theft.

He told investigators his mother was receiving care at the Coral Springs Hospital and blamed its staff for her decline in health, records show.

He also told them the car dealership he targeted was engaged in a conspiracy against him, the affidavit states.

Footage from most of the shootings was posted on Qureshi’s social media accounts, including his Facebook page, investigators said.

In the most recent arrest, Qureshi was booked on Aug. 19 and charged with crimes that include criminal mischief, three counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling, and two counts of discharging a firearm from a vehicle.

Records show he was being held at the North Broward Bureau Jail Thursday on a bond of more than $1.5 million.
