Michael Applegate First Place winner in 2024. {City of Tamarac}
The City of Tamarac is bringing back its Neighborhood Holiday Lights Contest for a second year, inviting residents to showcase their creativity and illuminate the community with festive displays.
After a strong response in its inaugural year, the city announced Friday that the popular competition will return for the 2025 holiday season. Residents are encouraged to transform their homes into bright, decorative displays to help spread cheer throughout Tamarac.
Participants will compete for three gift card prizes: $75 for first place, $50 for second place, and $25 for third place. Each winning home will also receive a “Holiday Lights Contest Winner” lawn sign to recognize their achievement.
How to Enter
Residents who wish to participate must live within the City of Tamarac. Beginning Dec. 1, entrants can upload photos of their decorated homes at Tamarac.gov/LightingContest. Submissions will be accepted through Dec. 19.
How to Vote
From Dec. 20–24, the community is invited to visit the same link to vote for their favorite displays. Resident votes will determine the top three winners.
Winners Announced
The city will announce the three homes with the most votes on Dec. 26 on its official social media channels.
