Every other day we’re providing the latest update on positive COVID-19 testing and vaccine data.
On March 26, the Florida Department of Health reports there were 121,105 COVID-19 tests. Out of those, 8,636 came back positive, and 5,759 were first-time positives.
Tamarac isn’t out of the woods yet. There were 5,597 total positive COVID-19 cases which is an increase of 40 positive cases since March 24. Statewide, there are 2,033,179 positive cases to date.
Since the pandemic began, 84,406 Floridians have been hospitalized due to complications of COVID-19, and 33,166 have died. Of those, 2,614 were residents of Broward County.
Vaccinations
As of March 26, 8,071,096 or 24.56 percent of Floridians have received at least one vaccination dose. Out of these, 14.17-percent are now fully vaccinated.
Broward County has a population of 1.9 million residents as of 2019, and as of March 26, 404,935 doses of the vaccine have been administered, with 254,477 people now fully vaccinated.
