The Broward County Library Tamarac Branch has announced it will host a workshop to better equip parents and children with the necessary tools to conquer the growing challenges of stress, anxiety, and academic pressures.Â
The “Mindful Game Workshop: Nurturing Resilience in Parents and Children” takes place on April 20, beginning at noon at the Broward County Library Tamarac Branch, located at 8701 West Commercial Boulevard.
Attendees can expect to learn mindfulness practices and play interactive games designed to empower families with tools for a healthier, more connected life.
The workshop plans to introduce attendees to various powerful, easy-to-learn mindfulness techniques. These techniques are said to help calm the mind, reduce stress, and enhance focus.
In addition to stress-relief techniques, the workshop will strengthen the parent-child connection so that families can enjoy shared experiences and develop a deeper understanding of each other.Â
The workshop event is open and free to the public.
For more information or to register for the workshop, interested parties are encouraged to contact Pema at 954-558-0632 or via email at pam@dcfts.org.
