Every other day we’re providing the latest update on positive COVID-19 testing and vaccine data.
On March 24, the Florida Department of Health reports there were 102,963 COVID-19 tests. Out of those, 7,593 came back positive, and 5,190 were first-time positives.
Tamarac isn’t out of the woods yet. There were 5,557 total positive COVID-19 cases which is an increase of 36 positive cases since March 22. Statewide, there are 2,021,656 positive cases to date.
Since the pandemic began, 84,006 Floridians have been hospitalized due to complications of COVID-19, and 32,850 have died. Of those, 2,609 were residents of Broward County.
Vaccinations
As of March 24, 7,673,776 or 24.56 percent of Floridians have received at least one vaccination dose. Out of these, 13.55-percent are now fully vaccinated.
Broward County has a population of 1.9 million residents as of 2019, and as of March 21, 672,285 doses of the vaccine have been administered, with 222,218 people now fully vaccinated.
