Incidents
Aggravated Assaults
A man was arrested after allegedly threatening another person with a firearm on May 12 in the 0704 zone. Deputies identified the suspect as Adler Telfort.
Another aggravated assault occurred on May 13 in the 0705 zone when a woman allegedly attempted to stab a man with a screwdriver during a domestic violence incident.
Retail Thefts
An unknown man stole approximately $97 worth of merchandise from Walgreens on May 12.
On May 13, a suspect reportedly ran out of a CVS store with six containers of Tide Pods valued at $125.
Robbery and Theft Cases
A woman reported her purse was snatched from her shoulder by an unknown man while she was walking on May 14. The estimated loss was $1,050.
Three computers valued at approximately $3,600 were stolen from the Kings Point Clubhouse in a delayed theft report.
A resident reported a firearm stolen from a vehicle parked in Tamarac on May 13. The gun had reportedly been left inside the glove box.
Two bicycle thefts were reported during the week, including one valued at $600.
In another unusual theft case, a man told deputies he believed his roommate stole his cat, “Simba,” while he was away from the residence.
Batteries and Domestic Incidents
Several battery and domestic violence incidents were reported throughout the week, including a May 15 case in which a woman told deputies her husband pushed her backward onto a bed.
At an IHOP on May 15, an employee reported that a DoorDash driver slapped her hand during an order dispute.
Deputies also responded to numerous verbal domestic disturbances where no arrests were made and no injuries were observed.
Baker Acts and Mental Health Calls
Multiple Baker Act cases were reported during the week involving individuals experiencing mental health crises or suicidal thoughts. Several subjects were transported to behavioral health facilities for evaluation.
Death Investigations
Deputies investigated several deaths during the week, including incidents at residential facilities and private homes. One investigation involved a 75-year-old woman whose death was determined to be from natural causes.
Arrests
Nigel Paul Bonner, 28, was arrested on a charge of domestic battery.
Adler Telfort, 29, was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.
Christian Caleb McCullough, 26, was arrested on a fraud charge after allegedly leaving a restaurant without paying.
Anderson Ductan, 23, was arrested on a firearm-related warrant charge.
Justice Tatiana Strong, 25, was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon related to domestic violence.
Ronald Edward Pohl, 79, was arrested on a felony battery charge involving a person 65 years or older.
Michael George Vassell, 66, was arrested for violating a domestic violence injunction.
